Maybe you’re like me, I served 6 years on active duty in the Navy and another 14 years in the Reserves as an Electronic Warfare technician. When I was in the Navy, I really learned the value of service to others.
When I left active duty, I was looking for opportunities to provide service to others, engage in a noble profession, and at the same time make a good living.
Several years later, and now more than 20 years ago, I started to buy and sell houses to provide solutions for home sellers that wanted to sell their house in a nontraditional manner.
A few years after that I secured my real estate license.
Then several years later, when we saw a market correction in 2008, more and more sellers were calling me that wanted to downsize but didn’t want to deal with the potential hassles and stress that a traditional house sale can involve.
You see, it was actually these sellers that taught me how valuable my company’s benefits were when I bought their house.
It was common to hear a seller tell me that they had interviewed multiple real estate agents, only to be told that they needed to do a number of things to their house before the agent would list their house.
These sellers had no desire to update their house, have strangers coming in and out of their house, be expected to have their house available for showings at a moment’s notice, and so on.
They realized they might not put quite as much money in their pocket from the sale of their house to a home buyer such as myself, but the benefits that I offered were worth it to them.
It was after working with a number of home owners that wanted to downsize and truly appreciated the benefits that I offered, that I started to focus my business on helping this type of home seller.
Now, I want to be able to provide these benefits to more home owners that want to downsize, and at the same time provide you, the SRES designated real estate professional, with the tools and opportunity to provide these services to your clients while earning a better living for yourself.
